This Sunday, we will be hearing from Luke 14:-14. In it, Jesus goes to a Pharisee’s home for dinner, and we see a glimpse into what goes on there.
He heals a man, and confronts some of the concerns that the religious leaders have about it. He uses an illustration of a wedding feast to communicate the importance of humility, and the danger of pride. And he uses an illustration of a banquet to communicate that we should love our neighbors, without a selfish ulterior motive.
