Corporate Prayer
Wednesdays at 8pm

"Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need."  (Hebrews 4:16)

Prayer is one of the most vital, important elements of the Christian life.  Through prayer, we connect with God, meditate on his Word, and communicate with him.  We pour out our emotions and process what we are experiencing.  We confess sin, and receive his forgiveness and cleansing.  We bring our requests, and we cling to the promises of God.

According to Charles Spurgeon, "To pray is to mount on eagle’s wings above the clouds and get into the clear Heaven where God dwells. To pray is to enter the treasure house of God and to enrich one’s self out of an inexhaustible storehouse. To pray is to grasp Heaven in one’s arms, to embrace the Deity within one’s soul, and to feel one’s body made a temple of the Holy Spirit!"

While personal prayer is vitally important, prayer is also intended to be a corporate, collective exercise.  Where we encourage one another, care for one another, intercede for one another, teach one another, and learn from one another.

To that end, we invite anyone and everyone to gather online each week for corporate prayer.  As you do, here are some specific ways that you can be praying:

  • For God to be glorified through our church and its ministry.
  • For our church to grow healthy and strong.
  • For the gospel to go forth into our community.
  • For people to hear the gospel, and trust Jesus and follow him.
  • For the marriages and families of our church members.
  • For our communities, society, and nation, and for those who lead them.
  • For the missionaries on the field that we are supporting.
  • For particular needs of church members.
    • If you know of a need in the congregation, and are unable to participate in our Corporate Prayer personally, feel free to convey it in writing to one of the elders (taking care to protect the privacy of anyone who has not given you permission).
