Support the CAPS Night Stay Program
The Coalition Against Poverty in Suffolk is organizing the Night Stay Program this winter - mobilizing local churches and organizations to open their doors for people who are in crisis, whether facing eviction or homelessness.  We have an opportunity to support them through volunteering, preparing food, etc.  If you are able to help, please sign up, or contact the organizer for the week that you are available.

  • January 19-26
  • January 26 - February 2
  • February 2-9
    • CAPS has been approached by an organization in downtown Suffolk that is willing to open their doors to the Night Stay program.  They will need help in staffing it for that week.

National Sanctity of Human Life Day
January 30

We were originally planning to celebrate Sanctity of Human Life Day on January 23, but it has been rescheduled to January 30.  We will begin a Baby Bottle Campaign to support the Crisis Pregnancy Center.  CPC strives to save lives, spare hearts, and share the gospel of Jesus Christ.  If you'd like to participate, you can:

  • Take a bottle home for a month and fill it with donations.
  • Use the bottle as a reminder to pray for the CPC, and unborn children, and expectant mothers.
  • Return the bottle February 27th.

Also - CPC is looking for Patient Advocates to help meet with women, listen to them, work through their fears, and help support them so that they can choose life with confidence.  You can hear more about it here.
