This Sunday, we will continue our advent journey through the first two chapters of the gospel of Matthew, looking at 2:1-12 - the visit from the Magi from the east.

We will consider how the Magi came to Jesus, and worshipped him, and offered him treasures.  And contrast that with how Herod resented Jesus, and saw him as a threat to his own personal autonomy and power, and sought to eliminate him.  We will consider how we, as Christians today, can respond rightly to the person and work of Jesus.
