How does Joel describe the sin of the nations?  How does he describe God’s reaction to their sin?  Why do you think that God reacts the way that He does?

What does Joel 3:9-10 tell us about the fate of those who persist in their rebellion and rejection of God? How is this different from other texts that use similar language (Isaiah 2:2-4, Micah 4:1-5)?

How does our understanding of God’s justice and wrath affect our understanding of God’s mercy and compassion?

How does the doctrine of Hell affect how we engage with our non-Christian friends, and family members, and co-workers, and neighbors?
