This Sunday, we celebrate Easter. The day when we remember that our Savior King Jesus was raised from the dead.

And we will be hearing from 1 Corinthians 15:12-34. 1 Corinthians 15 is one of the most extensive chapters on the resurrection in the entire Bible. Last Easter, we heard from 15:1-11, about how Jesus died on the cross, and was buried, and was raised from the dead. This year, we’ll consider the next passage (15:12-34), about what that resurrection means for us, as Christians.

If Jesus was raised from the dead, then we have assurance, and eternal security, knowing that we too will be raised from the dead. If Jesus was raised from the dead, then our lives have purpose, because they are part of a bigger, grander, story, that will stretch on into eternity. The resurrection of Jesus is at the very center of what it means to be a Christian. And we will consider that together.

See you Sunday.
