This Sunday, we will hear from Daniel 2.
In it, King Nebuchadnezzar has a troubling dream about a large image (made of gold, silver, bronze, iron, clay) that is destroyed by a large stone that, in turn, grows into a mountain that fills the entire earth.
Daniel interprets the dream, explaining that the image represents the human kingdoms that are going to rule on earth (gold, silver, bronze, iron, iron/clay), followed by God’s eternal kingdom (stone that strikes the image) that is going to overtake them and last forever.
