This Sunday, we will hear John 1:9-18, and consider the doctrine of the Incarnation - that Jesus is the light that has come into the world, and the Word that has become flesh.  We will consider what exactly it means that Jesus is God, who became a man.  And why that is necessary in order for God to save sinners and reconcile them to himself by his grace.
