This Sunday, we will be looking at Luke 13:15 – an enigmatic text, where Jesus seems to reference 2 recent events – persecution from Pontius Pilate, and a natural disaster.

Jesus confronts the popular notion that bad things happen to bad people, because of the bad things that they have done. And, instead of confirm this assumption in people’s minds, he turns the question around. And tells them to be more concerned about their own sin than they are with the sins of others. And his words are just as relevant today as they have ever been.
