We are back in the gospel of Luke for the next three weeks, until the Advent season begins on Sunday, December 3. This Sunday, we will be in Luke 5:27-32. (Try and read it through a few times between now and then.)

It’s the story of the calling of Levi – a tax collector by trade. Jesus calls him, and he responds. And his first act of official business is to throw a huge party and invite all of his friends to meet Jesus. Which upsets the religious establishment. Which, in turn, prompts Jesus to teach them about sin and grace.

Join us at James River on Sunday to hear from God’s Word, and to see and behold our gracious savior together.
