This Sunday, we will hear from Isaiah 49-55, looking at Isaiah’s suffering servant king.  This figure is going to fulfill God’s mission of salvation for his people, and he is going to succeed where Israel has failed up until that point.  He will proclaim the good news of salvation, and be a light to the nations.  And he will give his own life as a sacrifice for the sins of his people.  And everyone who trusts in him will be saved, and be counted among the people of God.
