This Sunday, we will be hearing from Luke 11:37-54. In it, Jesus interacts with the religious leaders in Israel (Pharisees and lawyers). He confronts them for their hypocrisy, people-pleasing, glory-hoarding, posturing, and failure to keep the spirit of the Law. He tells them that they are actually opposed to God, and that they are doing more harm than good to the people of God. And they respond by beginning to look for ways to eliminate him.

We’ll consider how the gospel of Jesus differs from religion. And what it looks like to trust in Christ, and to obey Him out of a heart that loves Him.
