This Sunday, we will be hearing from Psalm 130 – one of the songs of ascents, that Israel would sing as they climbed the mountain on their journey toward Jerusalem.

In it, the psalmist cries out to God for mercy, acknowledging his brokenness and sinful guilt. He waits for the Lord, and trusts in the Lord, and hopes in the Lord. And he concludes by exhorting the entire community of God’s people to trust in God with him – because God can, and does, and will redeem His people from their sin.

We will consider together how to acknowledge our sin, cry out to God, look to Him for grace, trust in His sufficiency, and then encourage others to trust in God along with us.

See you Sunday.
