This Sunday, we will take a look at Luke 7:36-50 – the story of Jesus forgiving a sinful woman.

Jesus goes to the home of a Pharisee named Simon for a meal. And, when He is there, He is approached by a sinful woman who is weeping, and who anoints Jesus’s feet. Simon is scandalized, and can’t believe that Jesus would let her anywhere near Him. And Jesus uses this as an opportunity to teach about forgiveness and love. And to assure the woman that she is forgiven, because of her faith.

We’ll consider together what it looks like to pursue humility before God, and brokenness over our own sin. And what it looks like to trust in Christ, and receive forgiveness from Him, and respond by loving God and loving others.
