Why is what we believe about who Jesus is so important? What does the Bible teach about who Jesus is and how does it differ from what many people are teaching about Jesus today?

What do you think John means when he says ‘God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all’? What is John trying to communicate?

What does it mean to ‘walk in the light’? What does it mean to ‘walk in darkness’?

John says in verse 8 that ‘if we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.’ But later in 1 John 3:6 he says, ‘no one who continues in sin has either seen Him or known Him.’ How do we reconcile these two truths?

If someone were to record your life for a week, or even a month, who would you most remind them of? Who would they say you are trying to imitate?

Can you say that you have seen growth in the areas of walking in light, sensitivity to sin, and obedience to God’s commands since you have become a Christian? If not, why not?
