How does the story of the church in Ephesus resemble and inform our story as Christians today?

Why do you think that the Ephesians react the way that they do in Acts 19:23-41?

The human heart often responds with desperation and violence when something that it idolizes is threatened.  What (if anything) in your life, if it were threatened, would cause you to react like the Ephesians did?

Read Acts 20:17-38. What does this text tell us about Paul's heart for the people of the church in Ephesus? What does it tell us about God's heart for the them?

In Revelation 2:1-7, what does Jesus commend the church in Ephesus for? What does He rebuke them for?
Why is this significant? How can we apply it to ourselves?

What are you hoping to learn, and how are you hoping to grow, as we study through the book of Ephesians as a church?
