Isaiah 8 describes an invasion from Assyria that is going to come upon the people of Israel.  What are some ways that Isaiah prophesies that the people in Israel might respond?  How does God call his people to respond?

How does 9:1-7 describe the coming Messiah?

How does 10:5-19 describe the eventual fate of the Assyrians?  What can we learn from this about the sovereignty of God over all things (including sin), and about our own moral responsibility?

Who is the fruit-bearing branch in 11:1-5?  What will his kingdom look like?  (11:6-16)  What implications does this have for us, as Christians today?

What response do we see from the people of God in Isaiah 12?  How can we work to actively implement this kind of response in our lives?
