Read 1 John 2:15-17. How do John’s 3 characteristics of worldliness (in 1 John 2:16) relate to Jesus’s 3 temptations from Satan?  How do they relate to Adam and Eve’s temptation in Genesis 3:4-6?

 

What are some takeaways for how Jesus resists temptation that we can incorporate into our Christian lives, as we battle against sin and temptation?

 

Which of these temptations of Jesus can you relate to the most? What kinds of things are you tempted by most often?

 

What would it look like to employ a Christ-like resistance against those specific temptations? How can you actively be working toward resisting temptation, and toward defeating sin?
