Jesus speaks this word to people who are burdened, and weighed down, exhausted - trying to be good enough, and trying to build a life where they can finally be happy. How does this apply to you? What are the things in your life that cause you to feel burdened, and weighed down, and exhausted?

How is Jesus invitation to “come to me” different than any other promise that we hear from any other “god” or “savior”?

How can Jesus invite people to rest in Him; but then, in the same breath, instruct them to take His yoke upon Him and work hard in serving Him?

Why is laboring under Jesus’s yoke better and more restful than the life that any other “god” or “savior” might promise us (even if that life is marked by idleness)?

One of the connotations of the word “yoke” that Jesus uses is that it is meant to yoke two animals together. So that they can work together, and not alone. What implications does this have for us, as church members?

What does it meant to find rest for your soul in Christ? How would you evaluate how well you are resting in Christ personally in this season? What would it look like to grow in this area?
