What is the main theme of this Psalm?  How would you describe the broad strokes of what Asaph is trying to communicate?

How does Asaph’s soul react when he observes wicked people thriving, and enjoying lives of comfort and ease?

Can you identify personally with Asaph? Why or why not?  If so, which verses (Psalm 73:4-15) in particular?  When have you felt envious of arrogant or wicked people? What was it that caused you to feel that way?

Why is pride such a dangerous sin?  Are there any healthy expressions of pride?  If so, how do we cultivate them, without succumbing to sinful pride?

Why do you think that God allows bad things to happen to good people?  Why do you think that He allows good things to happen to bad people?

What answer does Asaph arrive at, to help his soul come out of this tail-spin? How can we use this strategy to avoid or overcome doubt, and frustration, and spiritual depression?

What does it mean when Asaph says that God is the strength of his heart, and his portion forever? What does it look like for a person to live believing that?
