Missionary Visit
January 16

Come early this Sunday at 10am to hear missionaries Christin and Andrew share about their ministry work in the Middle East.  Children are welcome to attend!  This is a great opportunity to increase our awareness of missions as a church.  Contact Gina Mckeehan if you have any questions.

Missions Team Meeting
January 17

The next Missions Team meeting will be Monday, January 17 at 8:00.  We meet on the third Monday of each month via Zoom to discuss how the members of JRCC can be equipped to share the gospel as well as support missionaries around the world.  Anyone with an interest can join us here:
Meeting ID: 889 225 8517
Passcode: Matt28

Support the CAPS Night Stay Program
The Coalition Against Poverty in Suffolk is organizing the Night Stay Program this winter - mobilizing several local churches to open their doors for people who are in crisis, whether facing eviction or homelessness.  We have an opportunity to support the churches that are hosting (volunteering, preparing food, etc.).  If you can help, please sign up or contact the organizer for the week that you are available.

Church Work Day
January 22

We will be having a church work day on Saturday January 22 from 8am until mid-afternoon.  Some of the work will include crawlspace and attic inspections, minor outdoor electrical lighting work, modular organizing, door repair, housekeeping and other minor building maintenance.  Those willing to join can come and go as they are able to support and fellowship.  Lunch will be provided.  Email or text Jeff Daniels if you are planning to attend for work and lunch planning purposes.

National Sanctity of Human Life Day
January 23

January 23 is National Sanctity of Human Life Day!  On that day, we will begin a Baby Bottle Campaign to support the Crisis Pregnancy Center.  CPC strives to save lives, spare hearts, and share the gospel of Jesus Christ.  If you'd like to participate, you can:

  • Take a bottle home for a month and fill it with donations.
  • Use the bottle as a reminder to pray for the CPC, and unborn children, and expectant mothers.
  • Return the bottle February 27th.

Also - CPC is looking for Patient Advocates to help meet with women, listen to them, work through their fears, and help support them so that they can choose life with confidence.  You can hear more about it here.

Ladies Fellowship Dinner
January 29

Women of JRCC!  Come join us for a time of fellowship, dinner, and conversation. The men of JRCC have kindly offered to prepare and serve dinner for us.  You do not need to bring anything except yourselves!  Please save this date on your calendar!  We want you there!  Contact Gina McKeehan or Brittany Page with any questions.

Men of JRCC!  We have an opportunity to serve the women of our church by preparing dinner for them.  We need your help to make it happen!  Please contact Tim Bowden if you are able to help.

Annual Contribution Statements
The church office will be issuing 2021 Financial Contribution Statements via email by the end of January.  When you receive your statement, please review it and verify that it matches your personal giving records.  If there are any discrepancies, please let us know.  If your email has changed recently, please let us know.  Statements for donors without email will be made available at the church at the end of January.

We need people to help with preparing snacks to enjoy after our corporate worship services, and cleaning up afterward.  If you'd like to volunteer, you can sign up here.
