Missionary Visit - RESCHEDULED TO JANUARY 16
January 16
10am

Christin and Andrew's visit to share about their ministry work in the Middle East has been rescheduled to Sunday, January 16 at 10am.  Please come early that Sunday to hear from them, and to encourage them with your presence.  (Children are welcome to attend!)  This is a great opportunity to increase our awareness of missions as a church.  Contact Gina Mckeehan if you have any questions.

Support the CAPS Night Stay Program
The Coalition Against Poverty in Suffolk is organizing the Night Stay Program this winter - mobilizing several local churches to open their doors for people who are in crisis, whether facing eviction or homelessness.  We have an opportunity to support the churches that are hosting (volunteering, preparing food, etc.).  If you can help, please sign up or contact the organizer for the week that you are available.

Member Meeting
January 9
6pm

Come join us to look back on 2021, look ahead to 2022, and pray together as a church.

National Sanctity of Human Life Day
January 23

January 23 is National Sanctity of Human Life Day!  On that day, we will begin a Baby Bottle Campaign to support the Crisis Pregnancy Center.  CPC strives to save lives, spare hearts, and share the gospel of Jesus Christ.  If you'd like to participate, you can:

  • Take a bottle home for a month and fill it with donations.
  • Use the bottle as a reminder to pray for the CPC, and unborn children, and expectant mothers.
  • Return the bottle February 27th.

Ladies Fellowship Dinner
January 29

5:30pm

Women of JRCC!  Come join us for a time of fellowship, dinner, and conversation. The men of JRCC have kindly offered to prepare and serve dinner for us.  You do not need to bring anything except yourselves!  Please save this date on your calendar!  We want you there!  Contact Gina McKeehan or Brittany Page with any questions.

Opportunity for men of JRCC to serve the women of JRCC
Men of JRCC!  The women of JRCC will be meeting together on January 29, and we have an opportunity to serve them by preparing dinner for them.  We need your help to make it happen!  Please contact Tim Bowden if you are able to help.

Annual Contribution Statements
The church office will be issuing 2021 Financial Contribution Statements via email by the end of January.  When you receive your statement, please review it and verify that it matches your personal giving records.  If there are any discrepancies, please let us know.  If your email has changed recently, please let us know.  Statements for donors without email will be made available at the church at the end of January.

Snacks
We need people to help with preparing snacks to enjoy after our corporate worship services, and cleaning up afterward.  If you'd like to volunteer, you can sign up here.

Missionary Update

Chip and Meredith Jones
Chip and Meredith Jones serve with Serge in Chile.  They recently moved to southern Chile in order to reach the Mapuche, a largely unreached people group who live in southern Chile and Argentina.  Pray that God would encourage their hearts as they begin building relationships with many Mapuche (including some of their spiritual leaders), that Jesus would open doors of conversations, and that His light would begin to shine in a dark place.  And please pray for them as they continue to train local leaders to make disciples that continue to carry the gospel to the nations.
