This Sunday, we jump back into our journey through the gospel of Luke. Back in 2016, we began by walking through the birth narrative, into Jesus’s childhood, and his preparation for ministry. Then, in 2017, we looked at much of Jesus’s ministry in and around Galilee – preaching, teaching, healing, calling His disciples.

Over the next several weeks, we will continue that examination of Jesus Galilean ministry. Our hope is to get all the way through to Luke 9:50 before the end of the year. At that point, the narrative shifts. From that point forward, Jesus turns his attention to his journey toward Jerusalem. (We hope to cover that ground in the months and years to come.)

For this Sunday, however, we will look at how Jesus heals a Centurion’s servant. We will examine Jesus’s sovereign authority over everything – including the resources, and health, and lives of the people that He has created. We will examine Jesus’s heart of compassion for His people that He loves. And we will examine how we, as His people, are called to trust in Jesus as our Savior King.

See you Sunday!
