This Sunday, we will continue working through Genesis, looking at Abraham and Sarah, in Genesis 12-20.

We’ll see multiple accounts where Abraham commits the bone-headed error of claiming that Sarah is his sister, so that other men will sleep with her. Apparently he will stop at nothing to protect himself, even if it means putting his wife in harm’s way.

We’ll also see how Abraham and Sarah respond to God’s promise that He is going to provide offspring for them (even in their old age) - often with doubt and unbelief.

We’ll consider how God repeatedly works His sovereign purposes in the world, even when his people fall prey to sin, doubt, fear, and selfishness.
