This Sunday, we will continue our journey through the book of 1 Kings, looking at chapters 15-17.

In chapters 15-16, we see a series of kings in Judah (Abijam, Asa) and Israel (Nadab, Baasha, Elah, Zimri, Omri, Ahab).  Most of them sin against God, and provoke his anger, by leading the people into the worship of idols.

In chapter 17, we meet Elijah.  And we see the story of the widow of Zarephath - God miraculously providing for her family, and then raising her son from the dead.
