What are some of the ways that the psalmist recognizes that God is uniquely positioned (more so than any created thing) to provide help for his people?

What are some tasks or responsibilities that we face where we would need help in order to be successful?

What are some counterfeit gods that we might go to for comfort and help, instead of trusting in the Lord, who made heaven and earth?

Why is it significant that God never slumbers or sleeps? What are the implications of that reality for how we relate to God? What does it tell us about his capacity to help us when we are in need?

What are some of the ways that God has:

  • helped you?
  • provided for you?
  • protected you?
  • cared for you?

What would it look like to recognize these realities, and not take them for granted?
