What is worship?  What are some ways we might be tempted to worship something other than God?  How can we guard against it?

The Bible portrays God as transcendent - majestic, sovereign, holy, righteous, high, exalted.  How does the transcendence of God move us to worship him?  What does it look like to worship God because of his transcendence?

The Bible portrays God as immanent - near, close to us, one with us, merciful, gracious.  How does the immanence of God move us to worship him?  What does it look like to worship God because of his immanence?

What does God intend for musical worship to look like in the local church?  What role should it play?  How can we, as church members, be cultivating a musical worship ministry that is Biblical healthy?

How should our emotions be involved in our worship (both public and private)?  What kind of emotional engagement in worship is healthy and good?  Are there kinds of emotional engagement are unhealthy and dangerous?  (If so, what are they?)
